Thirty three people were killed in bombings that ripped Baghdad, including three near the heavily fortified Green Zone and the foreign ministry, prompting US lawmakers to criticise the government's slow pace of reconciliation efforts.

Wednesday's attacks were the latest in a spate of violence that has gripped the country in recent months, and has killed 112 civilians in the first four days of February.
