Foreign Secretary Wiliam Hague says a Government investigation concluded that British military advice to Indian authorties had only a "limited impact" on an operation in India which lead to the 1984 Amritsar massacre. The inquiry was ordered after archive documents suggested an SAS officer had advised the Indians on how to deal with Sikh dissidents occupying the Golden Temple. Report by Fudgea.
