Robbers use varying techniques to threaten and intimidate store workers. A man in Philadelphia recently chose to target a downtown Hallmark shop and scribbled a handwritten note on a Greeting card.

It read “Give me all the money or I will kill you.” The crime was captured on store surveillance footage.

The suspect walked through the card aisle before approaching the clerk. After the note was read, the store worker called another employee over to the counter. That seemed to spook the suspect.

He swiftly picked up his note and ran out of the business empty-handed. The robbery occurred on January 24th at a little before 4 in the afternoon.

Cops were not immediately able to catch the card brandishing man. Law enforcement described the suspect as a 40 something bearded black male with a medium build.

During the crime, he sported a green Champion jacket, black pants, white sneakers and glasses. Detectives have asked the public for tips and help in locating the would-be robber.
