Spain: Fixed salaries for royals in transparency bid

For the first time, Spain has set fixed salaries for Crown Prince Felipe’s wife Princess Letizia and for his mother, Queen Sofia.
The princess will be paid 102,464 euros in 2014. Queen Sofia will receive 131,739 euros.
It is a move towards greater transparency for the scandal-hit royals.
Last month, Princess Cristina, the younger daughter of King Juan Carlos, was charged with tax fraud and money-laundering.
