Saratoga Shout Collie Max 1978
Max Collie's Rhythm Aces at the Rotterdam Jazz Club in 1978.
I played with my Climax Jazz Band at the 1976 Indianapolis World Championship of Jazz. We were 6th in that competition. Max Collie won the event. I witnessed the finale and fully agreed by the decision of the jury and votes from the audience.
At that time Max had definitely the most exciting New Orleans style band I'd ever heard. In his band were Phil Mason cnt, Jack Gilbert reeds, Jim McIntosh bjo, Trevor Williams bass and Ron mcKay drums
