Under Princess Celestia's instructions, Twilight Sparkle goes to Ponyville to supervise the preparations for the Summer Sun Celebration and make some friends. In Ponyville, Twilight meets Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, and Fluttershy. However, she also finds a prophecy stating that an evil force will return from a thousand-year banishment to take over Equestria.
