Suicide blasts kill dozens across Baghdad

A day of suicide blasts grip Iraq's capital city Baghdad.

Security sources say at least 19 people were killed in several blasts throughout the capital.

In a separate single attack, six suicide bombers allegedly killing at least two dozen-- including themselves -- after storming an Iraqi ministry building.

Social media video that Reuters cannot independently verify shows the aftermath.

No single group claimed responsibility for the attacks, but state buildings are commonly targets for for Sunni fighters -- determined to destabilize the country's Shi'ite-led government.

Meanwhile, a car bomb in a predominantly Shi-ite neighborhood badly injured this man and little girl.

(SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) UNIDENTIFIED MALE EYEWITNESS, SAYING:

"A car bomb went off here damaging cars and hurting poor people."

This latest string of attacks brings the death toll in the near year up to nearly 1,0
