    Africa's largest ever corruption trial has begun in Malawi.

    More than sixty people are facing charges over the theft of hundreds of millions of dollars of public funds.

    Donor countries suspended financial aid as a result of what became known as 'Cashgate'.

    Donations account for around 40 per cent of Malawi's annual income.
