Katie Stelmanis and band let Scion Sessions & AUX into their Kensington Market studio for a very special first glimpse at what's manifesting as Austra's follow-up to the acclaimed "Feel It Break" debut album. In the very infant stages of their sophomore work, still fresh in the pre-recording writing stages, Austra debuts this brand new song entitled "Painful Like". Anchored by determined and motorik bass arpeggiation, Katie's distinct voice sounds as amazing as ever, fluttering about minimal synth flourishes and Tasseomancy's ethereal vocal backing. To say we couldn't be more excited to present to you this song, what points to what will be a masterful progression from "Feel It Break", would be the understatement of Sessions Week and the century.
