Royal Caribbean's Explorer of the Seas is on its way back to its home port in New Jersey.
The 10-day cruise was cut short after more than 300 passengers got sick with a gastrointestinal illness.

Inspectors from the Centers for Disease Control boarded the ship in the Virgin Islands to determine the cause of the outbreak that caused diarrhea and vomiting.
Symptoms have been consistent with the highly contagious norovirus.

"Typically it spreads from person to person, but it also lives on surfaces so it can spread from touch."
The ship is expected to arrive two days early in New Jersey on Wednesday.
