In a recent report, a car crashed straight into a 7-Eleven located in Vista, California. The vehicle hit the structure in the worst possible place, striking the gas meter.

It finally came to a stop, but the auto was half inside the building, half outside, lodged in a side wall. The crash which occurred at around 2:30 in the afternoon, caused gas to leak inside the convenience store.

Firefighters arrived and swiftly evacuated everyone inside to avoid exposure to the natural gas. There was also a fear that the gas would cause a rapid fire inside due to the lighters for sale inside or any other electrical device. Fortunately that didn’t happen.

San Diego Gas & Electric was dispatched to the business to repair the leak and prevent further damage. Amazingly no one was seriously injured, but one patient at the scene required treatment.

According to police, speed was a factor in the accident. It was also pointed out the driver did not have a license and was uninsured. Cops wrote up a report and planned to issue a citation for the violations.
