A video, recently released online shows one thief’s innovative trick. The Chinese suspect nonchalantly walked through a crowd, brushing past several people, before approaching the back side of the unsuspecting victim. The suspect then pulled out a pair of chopsticks from his jacket and used them to pull out the woman’s phone from her coat pocket.

Surprisingly, despite the numerous people around, nobody seemed to notice a thing. The man was incredibly smooth and effortlessly walked away with the phone.

The crime took only a matter of a few short seconds.

In another incident, a man used a pair of chopsticks to steal a cell phone from a male victim’s pocket. However that one didn’t go so well.

After pulling the phone out, the thief loudly dropped it on the ground, alerting the other man. The victim simply thought the gadget had fallen from the pocket, allowing the crook to get away.

Authorities believe the pickpockets are utilizing chopsticks to avoid leaving behind fingerprints.
