Talks aimed at resolving the oil and budget dispute between Iraq’s central government and the Kurdistan Region have ended without an agreement being reached. A delegation including Kurdistan’s regional Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani met Iraq’s Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki in Baghdad on Sunday. Maliki’s government had threatened to take legal action against Turkey and cut Kurdistan’s budget for exporting oil via Kurdistan’s new pipeline.
