A Comcast worker in Chicago was robbed while sitting in his vehicle, minding his own business.
A Comcast worker in Chicago was recently robbed while sitting in his vehicle near a job site around 1 ‘o clock on a Wednesday afternoon.
The Comcast registered vehicle had been parked in an alley, on the city’s south side. Seemingly out of nowhere, a suspect approached the automobile and worker, who had been sitting in the driver’s seat.
Armed with a handgun, the robber demanded money. A witness claimed he walked into the alley during the crime and the suspect told him to walk away.
Although the witness complied, due to fear for his own life, he did see what was going on. He claimed the man was rifling through the Comcast worker’s pockets.
He also said the employee was fully cooperating with the robber. Sadly, the victim was shot in the stomach during the robbery.
It is believed there may have been a second suspect involved in the crime, as a white car with two males was spotted fleeing from the scene. The 45-year-old victim was transported to the hospital and is listed in critical condition. No arrests have yet been made.
