Those looking to curb a case of the winter blues can visit the Montrea's exterior art exhibit known as Luminothérapie.
Winter, between the frigid cold, lack of outdoor activity and extra short days – it doesn’t take long for a person to get a little depressed and run down.
Those looking to get rid of the winter blues can visit the Montreal based exterior art exhibit known as Luminothérapie.
Canadian based architects, designers and artist annually join forces to create stunning illuminated surroundings which encompass the grounds of the Place des Festivals.
Visitors can walk through the Entre les Rangs , which is a lit up maze that runs through paths of tens of thousands of vibrantly colored stalks that sway in the cold and all too often harsh winter breeze.
Described as a field of light, colors on the reflective stalks include deep crimson, pink and purple.
As part of this year’s festivities, the storefronts of 7 buildings and landmarks, even a church display intricate animation series, which add moving bits of color and light to the brick and glass structures.
As a unique twist, the animations are also games that can be played. In one example, Trouve Bob, reminiscent of early 80s video games, asks players to go on a hunt, searching the storefront screens for the character.
What do you think the Luminotherapie concept?
