The up-and-down ride for Twitter stock is continuing into the New Year. Shares of the social network are down more than 6% after Morgan Stanley cut the company's rating to "underweight." The plunge follows a surge last week after Evercore Partners analyst Ken Sena said the company was in a good position to capture money from video advertising.
Apple's smartphone sales have risen following the release of the iPhone 5S and 5C. But its rivals have chipped away at the company's longer-term market share, according to market researcher Kantar Worldpanel ComTech. During that stretch, the iPhone's market share fell by 9.9 percent in the US, by 6.5 percent in the European Union Five , and by 1.5 percent in China. Both Android and Windows Phone saw gains in market share across most regions during the year-long period.
It's been a little while since we've gotten any further numbers from the great console sales race of 2013, and now as CES kicks off, Microsoft has given us an update. In a blog post from Yusuf Mehdi, Corporate Vice President of Marketing, Strategy and Business, Xbox, the latest tallies have been revealed, "Over 3 million Xbox One consoles were sold to consumers in 13 countries before the end of 2013."
Chevrolet's new fleet of cars will soon be equipped with 4G LTE data transfer. 4G LTE is said to be seven times faster than existing connections, and allows access to a wider range of data and services. Just some of the benefits are an in-vehicle Wi-Fi hot spot, numerous infotainment options like streaming video entertainment and chat for multiple seats, real-time updates and faster running of apps and their downloads. For the U.S. and Canada, GM will rely on the AT&T network, while carrier and supplier relationships in other markets will be announced at a later date.
