Car and roadside bombs explode throughout Baghdad, killing at least 19.
The deadly attacks tore facades from buildings, leaving black smoke stains on the wall.
The country is mired in its worst violence since 2006-7.
This market, also in the capital, suffered its own attack.
The bomb killed at least one and wounded five others.
In the Anbar province, Sunni Muslim militants linked to al Qaeda are still in control.
They seized the town of Falluja earlier this week.
They've been fighting off against government security forces ever since.
Meanwhile, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said the U.S. would provide support for Iraq, but ruled out putting troops on the ground.
