Hundreds of people flocked to a giant ice-rink in the centre of Mexico city on Thursday to make the most of the last few days of the Christmas vacation.
Local residents and tourists alike donned bright orange ice-skates to take a turn around the rink in the capital’s Zocalo Square.
Despite the tumbles, people seemed to be enjoying the novelty of the open-air rink.
At 4,480 square metres (48,222 square feet), the ice-rink is one of the largest of its kind in Latin America.
