Bangladesh's Jamaat-e-Islami party has been at the centre of political unrest this year, prompting police to round up its supporters and put them in jail. Several of Jamaat's top leaders have been sentenced to death for war crimes during the 1971 Liberation War with Pakistan. As a result, the party's followers have come out in vocal, and often violent, protests. Members accuse the ruling Awami League of trying to wipe out their party. Al Jazeera's Maher Sattar reports from Chittagong.
