FAROE ISLANDS - Faroe Islands: A tiny population with a big symphony orchestra
  • 10 years ago
Today we head to the Faroe Islands. Located between the North Atlantic Ocean and the Norwegian Sea, the archipelago has a rich tradition of music and singing. Despite its tiny population - less than 50,000 people - it boasts an impressive symphony orchestra. Its first performance took place 30 years ago, and if you're lucky enough to be on holiday at the moment, do watch out for the Faroes' annual New Year concert!
