Farooq Sheikh recently passed away in Dubai on Friday, December 27, 2013. He was 65-year-old and suffered a sudden heart attack.
The veteran actor was a part of several classic films such as Satyajit Ray's Shatranj Ke Khiladi, Chashme Buddoor, Kissi Se Na Kehna and Noorie. He is best known for his contribution to parallel cinema in the 1970s and 80s. The actor is also known for hosting the famous television talk show Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai.
Farooq Sheikh, who started his career in Bollywood in 1973 with 'Garm Hava', was last seen as Ranbir Kapoor's father in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and with Sarika in Club 60.
