Spain's Rajoy: '2014 will be a better year'

Spainish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy believes that next year will bring economic growth and more job opportunities.

At a news conference, Rajoy said: “I can say that 2014 will be a better year, with more economic activity and growth. Next year, when I stand before you again, less people will be jobless in Spain and more will be working.”

The Spanish economy came out of recession in the third quarter of 2013. Unemployment remains very high – at 26 percent.
