Russian artist Viktor Ivanov has crafted a 'Turkey Bear' derived from none other than turkey meat.
It’s tough to choose the perfect Christmas meal. One artist, apparently conflicted on what to eat for the holiday decided to go the creative, and in this case, somewhat disturbing route.
- Russian artist Viktor Ivanov has crafted what’s come to be known as the Turkey Bear. Although it’s actually made out of chicken, it is indeed crafted to look like a teddy bear. What you can’t get out of the seemingly benign name is the fact the bear looks utterly gruesome.
With clear stitching marks into the poultry and hints of disfigurement, the bear looks to be something straight out of a horror movie. The Turkey Bear first appeared on Twitter just in time for Christmas.
Chef Simon Hulstone saw the picture somewhere and uploaded it as a joke, saying he made it for his children. From there the photo spread, soon turning it into a viral internet sensation.
The meat has that typical red tint, which is the most noticeable aspect, giving the bear the foreboding bloody look. It’s not known for sure what the black eyes and nose were derived from, but thus far the best guess would be olives.
What do you think of the Turkey Bear?
