Google Glass Can Take Pics With A Wink, Microsoft Won't Get A New CEO Until 2014

Welcome to 60 Sec Tech - one minute on what you need to know in technology.

Google has announced an important set of updates for their Google Glass headset. The most important change is an official “wink to take photos” mode, which will eliminate the need for a voice command. This will allow Glass users to photograph anything silently and unobtrusively, for better or for worse.

Microsoft has declined to name a CEO to succeed Steve Ballmer, at least until next year. Ballmer has headed the company since 2000, but stated in August that he planned to retire within twelve months. There is no clear frontrunner for the position at this time.

And finally, Nintendo released a trailer for a new WiiU game, tentatively titled “Hyrule Warriors.” It’s a mashup that has come as a complete surprise: the Zelda world mixed with Dynasty Warriors gameplay. There’s no world on an exact release date, but it will be out sometime in 2014.

That wraps it up. Join us next time for 60 Sec Tech.
