In a letter addressed to the "Brazilian People", published in a leading Brazilian newspaper, he offered a helping hand in an investigation into U.S. spying there.

The NSA has reportedly monitored the communications of Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff.

"There has been no change in our position. He has been charged and accused of leaking classified information, he faces felony charges here, he ought to be returned to the United States, again, where he will face full due process and protection."

Snowden's letter was also published in English on the Facebook page of David Miranda. He's the partner of journalist Glenn Greenwald, the man who first broke the news of Snowden's U.S. spying revelations to the world.
