In front of thousands of screaming Chileans, former President Michelle Bachelet is now President-Elect Bachelet.
Chileans on Sunday voted to send the center-leftist back to office with a landslide victory.

"The victory in this round isn't personal. It's a collective dream that triumphs. It's your voices that we heard throughout all of Chile during these months that are winning. It's the voice of the citizens who have marched in the streets for years expressing their demands with courage and who have set ambitions and a path for our country."
Bachelet defeated conservative candidate Evelyn Matthei with 62 percent of the vote, the highest of any candidate since Chile returned to democratic elections in 1989.
Matthei was part of the ruling Alianza coalition.
She captured just 38 percent of the vote, the right's worst performance in two decades.
