In 1962 Nelson Mandela traveled to Ethiopia for three months of military training under the name of David Motsamayi. In his autobiography, Mandela speaks fondly about Ethiopia as a country that inspired him to continue his struggle against apartheid. Officially, Mandela's presence at the camp was a secret, but the anti-apartheid activist could not hide who he was. He was arrested shortly after returning from Ethiopia. Al Jazeera's Catherine Soi reports from Addis Ababa.
