Since the 1990s, German rail operator Deutsche Bahn has cut its workforce in half. DB planned an initial public offering and tried to maximize profits. The company cut corners wherever it could. The consequence - the company now faces staff shortages in just about every area.
Deutsche Bahn is changing gears and plans to hire as many as 10,000 new employees a year. It will be a Herculean task. A Report by Anna Grimme.
