Deer not only serve as a major danger to drivers, but also to pedestrians. In a bizarre report, two women were injured after a deer ran across the roadway.

One of the ladies struck the animal with her vehicle, sending the deer flying in the air before it collided with the other female who had been jogging on a nearby path. According to the Loudoun County's Sheriff's Department, the completely bizarre incident occurred at approximately 6 at night on Clairborne Parkway.

A 71-year-old woman had attempted to stop her SUV when she noticed the deer, but it was too late. The animal made contact with the vehicle’s front passenger side. Right after that, the deer went airborne, it’s body finally coming to a stop after hitting the 27-year-old jogger.

Both women were immediately transported to the nearest hospital. Initially other motorists believed it was a single car accident, but the following morning a dead deer could be spotted on the side of the roadway, confirming an animal was involved.

Local residents who have heard the details of what happened are shocked it struck a jogger after getting hit by a vehicle, believing the odds of that occurring are astronomically low.
