Chhattisgarh Assembly elections result 2013 - BJP defeats Congress in Chhattisgarh

In Chhattisgarh Congress was in a neck-and-neck race with the BJP but lost the battle. BJP managed to defeat Congress here as well. BJP manged to secure 49 seats in the 90-seat assembly. Meanwhile Congress managed to secure 39 seats and remaining two seats were won by independent candidates.
