Kerry says progress made in peace talks, serious questions ahead

United States Secretary of State John Kerry said that some progress had been made in Israeli-Palestinian peace talks but that serious questions and challenges remain ahead to end this conflict "once and for all".

"Today we discussed at great length issues of security in the region. Security for the state of Israel, security for a future Palestine. And I think made some progress in discussing some of the ideas that were on the table. We are not going to discuss these further, publicly. But I will say that the goal here is for everybody, is a viable Palestinian state with the Palestinians people living side by side in peace with the state of Israel and with the people of Israel," Kerry said.

Kerry added that there are questions of sovereignty for Palestine and security for Israel.
