A male from Battipaglia, Italy was recently taken into police custody for allegedly threatening a barman for free food and drinks. While the so called threats were subtle, the man would commonly boast about being a ‘mafia boss’.

Apparently the allure of being a mafia member is very much alive for some people. A 52 year old male from Battipaglia, Italy, was recently taken into police custody for allegedly threatening a barman for free food and drinks.

While the so called threats were non violent, over the course of several days the man would brag he was a ‘mafia boss’.

He told stories about being the mob leader for the Camorra clan. Reportedly, he was telling his illegal lifestyle tales to the bartender in an effort to scare him, as he was sitting at the bar enjoying a good amount of croissants and coffee.

Eventually the bartender got tired of listening to him and wanted to see some cash. After the worker asked for the tab to be paid, the alleged mafia man left a container of gasoline outside the business as a response to the bill.

Following that incident, the bartender contacted police and reported the man’s stories. In the end, he was arrested.
