The Guangzhou Auto Show in China recently featured an innovative, yet somewhat bizarre vehicle. Called the WitStar, it’s a concept car for now.
The most unique aspect of the automobile is a goldfish tank which rests inside and adding to that cool effect is the fact that as per the manufacturer, the container will reportedly not break, due to the reliability of autonomous driving.
The fish tank is actually a gimmick of sorts to prove how safe self-driven cars can be.
The idea behind the installation is that a common accident would shatter the tank. So by placing the fish filled glass box inside the vehicle, potential buyers will be reassured about the car's safety.
The security tank rests in between two seats, serving as a visual type of center console. The jury is still out on whether or not the clever gimmick will lure potential drivers away to the world of autonomous cars.
But one would assume that if the automobile is struck hard by another vehicle, it will crumble and ultimately, the fish tank will break.
