It's been a very emotional couple of days here in Hollywood, as everyone is still trying to cope with the sudden loss of Fast & Furious star, Paul Walker. As many of you know, Paul Walker was involved in a tragic car accident over the weekend. Walker and his long time friend and business partner, Roger Rodas were driving a limited edition porsche leaving a fundraising event for Walker's charity, Reach Out Worldwide. Moments after leaving the event, Rodas somehow lost control of the vehicle which hit a tree killing both men. Walker was currently shooting the seventh installment to the Fast & Furious franchise, and the cast were on a Thanksgiving hiatus and were all expected to return to set on December 14th. And as you can imagine, after the news broke heart felt messages and condolences from fans and friends of the actor flooded twitter, but everyone was looking very closely at what the cast and crew of Fast and Furious were saying, and the messages and images were nothing short of heartbreaking. Jordana Brewster, who played Walker's love interest in the franchise tweeted, "Paul was pure light, I cannot believe he is gone."Former Fast director Justin Lin tweeted "In a business that barely requires it, @RealPaulWalker was relentlessly selfless, genuine, & trying to be better every day.Ludacris took to his Instagram to say quote "Your humble spirit was felt from the start, wherever you blessed your presence your always left a mark, we were like brothers & our birthdays are only 1 day apart, now You will forever hold a place in all of our hearts"
Dwyane Johnson tweeted "We will find our strength...in his light"
And the brand new Fast and Furious director, James Wan tweeted what many of us were thinking saying "I am so beyond heartbroken right now. I cant process anything."
Vin Diesel has been very vocal on his social media pages thanking fans for their support and honoring all that Walker did for him and the Fast family saying "My brother and I...We aimed for the stars together and achieved more than we ever hoped we could with F&F"But perhaps the most heartbreaking expression, came from Walker's Fast co-star, Tyrese Gibson. Tyrese visited the site of the accident, and completely broke down in tears. Before leaving the site he took this piece of the wreckage with him as a reminder of Walker and instagramed it saying quote "I will keep your energy with me forever...Paul is the heartbeat of this franchise and were gonna see to it that his energy and presence lives on forever."It goes without saying that Walker's passing will leave a huge hole in a franchise that was in part built around him and his character. As far as the future of Fast and Furious 7 goes, we are unsure about what will happen to the film which was supposed to hit theaters July 11th, 2014. However, THR is reporting that director James Wan did have a conference call with Universal executives and that the script might very well go through some re-writes causing the film to experience some delays. And as always, we will keep you all updated as things develop on that. But before you go, please comment with your favorite Paul Walker memory or moment from any of his past projects.
