Many adults remember that childhood stomach punching game where kids would have their peers hit them hard in the gut for no apparent reason. Well a form of that so-called macho game recently landed a Chatham, Ontario teen in trouble.

An 18-year-old student at Tilbury District High School is facing legal charges after slapping a 16-year-old boy. The younger male reportedly approached the older one and offered cash in exchange for a slap to the face.

The 16-year-old unnamed student had gone around asking others to slap him after the school day on November 5th. The boy who took him up on the offer was the second participant in the game according to reports.

However he allegedly slapped the male so hard, he fell to the ground and struck his head. Teachers at the school were quickly notified of the alarming incident.

An ambulance was called to the scene and rushed the boy to a nearby hospital. Medical staff soon concluded the teen was suffering from a concussion.

He remained in a medical facility for several days before being released. Once police were alerted of what happened, the older male was charged with assault causing bodily harm.
