Batman vs Superman updates are popping up all over the place, and we are giving you a round up that you don't want to miss. First of all, it is so hard to keep up with all of the rumors and rumblings on whether or not Dick Grayson (also known as Batmans estranged partner Nightwing), will be in Zack Snyder's upcoming Batman/Superman film. However, after some investigative research, it is becoming clear that we may have legitimate reason to believe he will be in the new movie. On November 8th, Warner Bros filed for a trademark for "Nightwing" which will prevent anyone else from being able to create and sell anything with the Nightwing name or logo. Seems like an aggressive move by Warner if the character isn't going to be appearing in the movie, right? It is possible, however, that Warner could be prepping for another future movie with Nightwing in it, and they don't want other people making money and taking advantage of all of this Nighwing madness now. Maybe for Justice League perhaps? And it's also possible that the trademark will be used for the title of a Nightwing standalone movie, which is a crazy thought, but I am just exploring all of the trademark possibilities here! Also, in an interview with Variety, Man of Steel producer Charles Roven talked about the studios preparation for the new film, and he gave some pretty exciting insight into what's happening. He said that pre-production began back in June with the expectation that they would begin shooting eight months from then. He also said that they currently have a rough draft of the script but that it will constantly be evolving even up until the movie is in theaters. Roven also talked about why Ben Affleck will be the ideal Bruce Wayne. He said that there is such a difference in maturity between their Batman and Superman. And when they saw Ben with Henry Cavill together, Ben really looked like he had more life experience under his belt, which is exactly what they were looking for. But on to our last bit of Batman/Superman info, which is something that we aren't sure is news or not, but it's out there so we will talk about it. A lot of outlets have picked up a tweet from a producer named Daniel Alter, who is said to have ties to Warner Bros. Total Film is calling him a Warner Bros executive, but we aren't 100% sure. Anyway.. the tweet is very specific and reads "Can't wait for #BatmanvsSuperman.. #batfleck semi-retired/not speaking to Robin anymore.. Controlling drones from the batcave". Now, this tweet could very well be a personal theory or wish list of Alter's, but if it's accurate and he does have a insider tip, it could mean that the creative team is taking a page from Mark Waid and Alex Ross' Kingdom Come comic book. Ok, so there is all of your Batman/Superman news in one video! Do you think this trademark thing solidifies all of the Nightwing rumors? And what do you think of Alter's tweet? Do you think that Kindom Come would be a good storyline for the new movie? Let me know what you all are thinking, and as always open up a new browser and go and find us on twitter at ClevverMovies.
