Ten Egyptian soldiers travelling in a bus were killed by a car bomb in the Sinai Peninsula on Wednesday (November 20), one of the deadliest attacks there since al Qaeda-inspired militants stepped up violence following the overthrow of Islamist President Mohamed Mursi.

Video footage from the site of the attack showed the impact made by the explosion, wreckage of the car bomb and soldiers' bus and the bloodstained clothing of the soldiers wounded and killed in the attack.
