Samuel L Jackson talks Star Wars and says that he, Mark Hamill and Ewan McGregor, might need to go to the open casting calls in order to get an audition for Episode VII. Sam Jackson opened up about his recent conversations with some other Star Wars vets, including Mark Hamill, who are saying that they haven't been contacted by JJ Abrams about reprising their roles in Star Wars. It has long been rumored from multiple sources that Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, and Mark Hamill had all been approached to return to JJ Abrams upcoming Episode VII. Even George Lucas himself had slipped up recently and said that all three leads were in final negotiations. But according to Jackson, who recently was working on another unknown movie in London with Hamill recently, is saying something completely unexpected. Jackson said " I asked Mark if he had heard from JJ Abrams and he said no, and then all of a sudden Ewan was there, and I spoke to him on the phone and I asked him if he was [in London] doing Star Wars, and he said "no, they didn't call me. So I was thinking that all three of us could get together and go over to the Star Wars set one day and just kinda stand around and see if maybe they could use some old jedi." So, this could mean several different things. Obviously, Jackson could be poker facing us all and making this whole thing up, which if it is the case, it's a pretty elaborate and detailed fib. Or, since Jackson recently spilled the beans about Elizabeth Olsen's role in The Avengers: Age of Ultron, maybe Hamill is keeping tight lipped around Jackson. You know, we all have friends like that. Or, it could actually mean that maybe Hamill was at one point in negotiations to return as Luke Skywalker, but has now been written out of the script since JJ Abrams recently took over writing duties for Michael Arndt. Jackson also said that he had heard about all of the open casting calls for Star Wars, and he jokingly told the guys that maybe they should all just show up to the auditions to audition themselves, to see if they can "get a job." Ok, so all joking aside here. What do you make of all of these Star Wars casting rumors? Would you be bummed to find out that they wrote Luke Skywalker out of Episode VII? What would Yoda advise if he heard all of these rumors?
