Victim's blinking eyes ID murder suspect
Ricardo Woods was found guilty on Thursday of the 2010 murder of David Chandler in a shooting which left him paralyzed before his death. Although unable to move or speak, Chandler identified his attacker by blinking.

Prosecutors said Woods, 35, shot Chandler of Cincinnati, also 35, in cold blood. The court heard Chandler owed Woods money for drugs. Woods became angry when he saw Chandler buying from someone else, so he shot him in the head and neck as Chandler sat in his car. Video evidence was presented which showed Chandler blinking his eyes to confirm to police that Woods was the shooter.

Police also had evidence from an informant who said Woods told him he had shot Chandler.
Each member of the jury was convinced, and a guilty verdict was delivered.
Judge Beth Myers found the video evidence reliable, noting Chandler's blinks were exaggerated and deliberate. Woods' defence team has said he will appeal the verdict.
