In one troubling error on Google Maps, a web user recently reported a problem concerning a map of Colindale, United Kingdom.

A local resident had stumbled across a Google link which read ‘How to Kill Yourself in 100 Easy Steps’.

That phrase would pop up when internet users keyed in NW9 5YU. Thankfully Google has removed the link but there was no explanation for why it was there in the first place.

A spokesperson for Google stated “We work hard to make Google Maps as accurate and helpful as possible for our users, but occasionally there may be small errors or wrong information.” The man who found the disturbing link, Dan Williams submitted a complaint, claiming he found it to be "offensive”.

The phrase was located right next to Further Acre on the map. It is noteworthy to point out that the link did not contain the actual steps to committing suicide or any other further information. However the page was open for discussion prior to the removal.
