A 50-year-old man in Taitung, Taiwan, tried to get out of a DUI arrest by claiming he was the incarnation of Sun Wukong, the Monkey King in the Chinese novel "Journey to the West". Of course, it didn't work.

The drunk man was near a sobriety checkpoing when he left his vehicle and jumped off a bridge. He told police he was actually spiritually possessed by Sun Wukong, but the cops didn't buy that. After being taken back to the police station, the man failed a sobriety test and confessed that this was actually his fourth DUI arrest, and that he was only making sh*t up in the hopes of getting out of it.
