Millions of Iranians come to the streets on Tasua on the 9th day of Muharram, in Islamic calendar to lament for Imam Hussein and his 72 companions including his brother Hazrate Abbas who were martyred in the battle of Karbala around 680 AD.; In Tasua, thousands of soldiers under command of the tyrant ruler of the time, surrounded Imam Hussein & his 72 companions. Hazrate Abbas was martyred along with his brother, Imam Hussein in the battle of Karbala, in Ashura, the day after Tasua while bringing water for children. Tasua and Ashura are among the most important Islamic events.
