For one absentminded man, losing his car turned into a five week long ordeal.
It happens to the best of us – momentarily forgetting where we parked our beloved vehicles. But for one absentminded man, losing his car turned into a five week long ordeal.
It all started when the Italian male parked his Volkswagen Golf on a small side street near a train station while visiting Munich for the annual Oktoberfest event. He arrived at the festival without problems and spent the day eating goodies and taking in the attractions.
However when the 40-year-old man made the return trip back to his vehicle, he realized he couldn’t remember where it was parked. He couldn’t recall the street name or even the exact train stop.
The baffled male stated "I rode all the way along both lines looking down every side-street and found nothing." The man was told law enforcement officers would keep their eyes peeled for the lost Volkswagen.
Desperate, the male decided to create posters and place an ad in a newspaper asking people to call him if they spotted the car which he noted was parked somewhere is East Munich. Finally, after over a month with no answers, the man was notified by a reader of the car’s location.
