Having your car towed is never considered a fun event. One woman in Huntsville, Alabama, Mahogony Grandison was livid with the bill when her vehicle was towed from an illegal spot. The company responsible for the job charged her an extra $150 for a so-called cursing fee.

It all started when Grandison stopped to visit a friend who lives at Lakeshore Crossing Apartment. Shortly thereafter, Grandison’s car, along with a few other vehicles parked near the complex were pulled away by the company, Affordable Towing.

Grandison knew the charge was supposed to be $200, but when the bill listed the total as $350 due to an extra fee for foul language, she was left baffled. An employee with the towing firm claimed someone who had called on Grandison’s behalf was being aggressive, harassing workers over the phone and constantly swearing.

Although she denied the allegations from the business, the owner of Affordable Towing stated “We could, if she wants to make an agreement to come and apologize about what she did. We’ll agree to give her money back, or at least some of it.”
