Belgium’s former king believes royal pension is not enough

    by PressTV

The huge royal estate close to Brussels city centre is closed to the public for the vast majority of the year. This is despite it costing Belgian tax-payers 11.5 million euros to maintain. King Philippe is the current monarch but it is his father who is once again making the headlines. Former King Albert II was abdicated last July after 20 years on the thrown. Sources have told Le Soir newspaper that he is complaining that he cannot live on his state pension of 923,000 euros per year.
