Following the recent revelations of Israeli spying stations along the southern Lebanese border, Lebanon’s parliamentary telecommunications committee convened for an urgent meeting. Members of the committee were briefed on the technical details related to the issue and hence on the dangers it poses to the country. Lebanese lawmaker Hassan Fadlallah, the head of the committee, came out after the meeting and called on the Lebanese state to take all necessary measures to confront what he termed as "this Israeli aggression". He said the committee had agreed on the necessity of filing a complaint against Israel at the Security Council.
