Previously scheduled for euthanization, Kenny the dog just recently learned how to walk on his own legs again and is ready for adoption.
Some stories show it’s never wise to give up on a loyal dog.
Kenny, a once-paralyzed Doberman, recently learned how to walk on his own again thanks to staffers at a Los Angeles facility, Two Hands Four Paws.
His heartbreaking story took a turn for the better in April of 2013 when Kenny was found by an organization called Dobie Rescue paralyzed in a kennel. He had been surrendered by his owner when he was 2 years old because he wasn’t happy with Kenny’s timid demeanor.
He spent the next three years living in a cage. After he was found paralyzed, money for a diagnosis proved to be short so it was recommended that Kenny be euthanized.
Two Hands Four Paws, a canine rehabilitative facility, got wind of Kenny’s sad story and stepped in to assist. He received advanced veterinary care along with physical therapy and amazingly he was able to get back on his feet to walk and ultimately run again.
Kenny is now 10 years old. A local rescue group along with Two Hands Four Paws are now trying to find Kenny a much deserved and long overdue forever home.
