L'œuvre fulgurante de Lili Boulanger fut traversée par la Grande Guerre qu'elle subit de plein fouet. Dès 1912, elle signait avec le prémonitoire Pour les Funérailles d'un soldat une œuvre grave et puissante, annonçant les chefs-d'œuvre à venir. Clairières dans le ciel est une œuvre d'une audace formelle et d'un génie mélodique incroyables. Quant à De Profundis, c'est une pièce à la fois tragique et héroïque, d'une grande envergure et d'un souffle puissant. En attendant les concerts des 19 et 20 novembre à l'Amphithéâtre, plongée dans une séance de travail en compagnie de Christophe Ghristi, Anne Le Bozec et Geoffroy Jourdain.

Lili Boulanger’s dazzling work is run through by the Great War of which she bore the brunt. As early as 1912, Lili Boulanger had written the prophetic Pour les Funérailles d’un soldat, a deep and powerful work, heralding the masterpieces to come. Clairières dans le ciel is a work of formal daring and extraordinary lyric genius. As for De Profundis, it is a both tragic and heroic work, of great scope and power.
