U.S. actor and activist Danny Glover gets a first hand look - and feel - of a part of the Ecuadorean Amazon rainforest that has been the subject of a long-running legal battle over environmental pollution between Equador and Chevron Corp.

"This pool of toxic waste and oil has damaged the life of this community"
In 2011 an Ecuadorean judge ordered Chevron to pay $18 billion dollars to people from the local village, who for years had been pursuing litigation over environmental contamination that occurred between 1964 and 1992 at an oil field operated by Texaco, now Chevron.
Chevron bought the field in 2001 and says Texaco cleaned up its share of waste. The second-largest U.S. oil company has refused to pay and filed a lawsuit in New York in 2011 claiming the award was the product of fraud.
