Bodies of journalists arrive in France

The bodies of slain French journalists killed in Mali over the weekend arrived in Paris Tuesday.

Family members along with French President Francois Hollande and Foreign Affairs Minister Laurent Fabius received the coffins at a Paris airport.

Claude Verlon and Ghislaine Dupont both worked for Radio France Internationale and were found dead in northern Mali on Saturday after being kidnapped in the city of Kidal.

The region was plunged into chaos last year during a militant uprising that resulted in a French led military intervention. And although most of the militants have been driven out, there remains pockets of insurgents.

French officials say they are questioning suspects in connection to the incident.
